Every skipper has verified documents and a public captain page with completed deliveries and reviews. Bids come in blind; you compare them and pick.

Pay once, released in two steps

Your payment is held by Skippr.it. The advance goes out when you countersign the pre-departure report, the rest when you countersign the arrival report.

A condition report at both ends

Engine hours, fuel, rig, steering, bilge and photos, filed when the skipper takes the boat over and again when they hand her back, both countersigned with a timestamp.

Insurance checked before departure

Your hull insurer's delivery rider is on file before the boat leaves, and the skipper carries the Authority to Sail that Skippr.it issues for the leg.

Borders and formalities, spelled out

Each leg comes with notices for the countries it touches: customs, flag, permits and what to keep aboard, so nothing waits for you at the other end.

How it works

  1. 1Estimate the cost of the leg on the home page, with distance, days and crew travel.
  2. 2Post the delivery: vessel, from, to, dates and anything the skipper should know.
  3. 3Compare the blind bids, ask questions in the messages, accept one.
  4. 4Pay on a Stripe-hosted page. Names and contacts unlock, and you agree the handover.
  5. 5Countersign the pre-departure report; the boat sails; countersign the arrival report.
  6. 6Review each other. The boat is where you wanted her.
